Website Audit Report: Trust

In the free website audit and the report

Website trust signals, checked on every page.

Visitors decide in seconds whether a site is safe to contact. The trust signals checks look for what they expect: proof and social proof on the home page, a privacy policy and terms, real copy rather than placeholder text and social links that go somewhere real. The Website Audit Report runs them on the site's public pages, on our servers.

What a Growth Lead brings.

A growth lead knows the small things that make a visitor hesitate: a missing policy, placeholder text left on a live page, a social link to nowhere.

Checks the proof: trust signals on the home page and review structured data where a page shows reviews.

Checks the safety signs: forms that post over https, no insecure content on secure pages and no placeholder text left on a live page.

Checks the basics: a privacy policy and terms linked from every page and social links that go to real profiles.

why it matters

Why trust signals matters to your client.

Doubt costs enquiries

No visible proof or a missing privacy policy is enough for a visitor to leave before they make contact.

Some gaps are legal ones

A missing privacy policy can be a compliance issue as well as a trust one. The report flags it either way.

Quick to fix

Most trust findings are a link, a setting or a profile address, done in minutes.

questions

Questions about trust signals.

What are website trust signals?

What tells a visitor a site is real and safe: proof such as reviews, a secure connection, clear policies and working contact and social links.

Does it check reviews are genuine?

No. It checks that review data on a page is marked up properly and that the home page shows proof. It does not judge the reviews.

Is a missing privacy policy a legal problem?

It can be, depending on where the business is and what it collects. The report flags it; legal advice is for the client's adviser.
