Personal information

Personal information is information or an opinion about a living person who is identified or reasonably identifiable, whether or not true and whether or not recorded in material form.

Kinds of personal information we collect and hold

Broadly, we may collect and hold:

• personal details such as your name
• contact details such as your email address, postal address and phone number
• financial details such as your billing and payment history with us; payment card details are held by our payment provider, not by us

In any case, we only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to support our functions and activities. If we cannot collect the information we need about you, we may not be able to supply the products or service you want.

Collecting personal information

Unless it is not reasonable or practicable to do so, and in other cases allowed by law, we collect personal information about you directly from you, for example when you contact us online or by email, sign up or make a purchase. In other cases we may collect it from the sources listed in our collection statement above.

Website analytics

We measure visits to this site with Google Analytics, to see which pages are used and how people find them. While it runs, it records the pages you view, the page that referred you, your device and browser type and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. It identifies your browser with a random ID in a cookie, never by your name or email address.

Google Analytics is run by Google, which handles this data under its own privacy policy and may process it in the United States. The cookies it sets are listed in our Cookie Policy.

We hold personal information in electronic form in facilities we own or license from third parties, such as data centres and cloud services. We take reasonable steps to keep it secure and to protect it from unauthorised access, use or alteration, including access control and encryption in transit.
