Large Language Model
A large language model (LLM) is a type of artificial intelligence (AI) trained on huge amounts of text so it can understand a request written in plain language and produce a fluent written reply. The tools that answer questions or draft emails in ordinary words are built on these models.
It is like an extraordinarily well-read assistant who has absorbed a library and can write in the style you ask for, though it does not truly know things the way a person does. Large language models matter because they let a business handle writing, summarising and answering at a scale that used to need many more hands.
