Throughput

Throughput is the amount of work a process actually completes in a given time, such as orders shipped per day or calls handled per hour. It measures real finished output, not how busy everyone looks, so a team can be fully occupied yet have low throughput if work keeps stalling.

It is like the number of cars a factory drives off the line in a shift, whatever is happening on the floor. Throughput matters because it is what customers and the bank actually feel, and raising it, usually by easing the bottleneck, lifts revenue without needing a bigger team.
